Founded in innovation and the highest quality products, Kluge is a brand with which our company can resonate. When deciding to purchase a folder-gluer, we wanted something that was not only functional, but had the intricacies needed to provide our clients with premium and varied products. By combining our current print technology with the added capabilities of this folder-gluer, we believe we can revolutionize the packaging market for small to medium-sized businesses.

Kluge offers a superior product for its market and KC [Kluge’s product design and technical support manager] did an excellent job training our operators and getting Linemark ready for profitable production. We’re making money with our Kluge.

The quality and ease of use of our new ApexFoil machine, along with the sale, installation and support of the Kluge team, especially Kenneth ‘K.C.’ Chapin, has exceeded our expectations.

The addition of a third Kluge press in January, has allowed us increased output, flexibility and machine dependability, as we add those extra’s to our product. The purchase of a remanufactured machine was an easy decision knowing Kluge’s proven value.

Kluge’s last a long time. This machine replaces a 1971 Kluge machine. The ApexFoil reduces our make-readies, runs faster, improves efficiencies and quality of work being produced.

During the Kluge EHD demonstration at Drupa 2016, it became totally compelling for us to invest in this machine based on its versatility and the quality of product it could produce. Even though it would still require a skilled operator, it was clearly the purchase to make as quality is something on which we will not compromise. The addition of the Kluge has not only allowed supplementary processes such as the embossing of thick board, but because of the extra impression pressure available, it has had a positive effect on the end quality of the product.

We believe that technology and the right equipment is key to the continued success of YPS and we have made a number of key purchases recently. We first came across Kluge at Drupa 2016 when we were seeking out die-cutting and foiling options. Having not previously been familiar with their products, we were very impressed with the foiling and embossing on the Kluge, which was far superior to anything we had seen before. The Kluge adds perfectly to our internal finishing capabilities and will allow us to both foil and die-cut in-house, thereby keeping control of time critical jobs.

We used to do all our pocket folders by hand, which would take one and half days to do 1000 folders. Now we can offer better pricing because we can now run multiple folder jobs in a day.

We appreciate everything that Kluge has done to help us expand our product offerings. It is also important to us to work with companies that have a local presence in Wisconsin. Additionally, we have found all our Kluge presses to be reliable and versatile, adapting to the changing needs and scope of our business.

The Kluge EHG, with its oversize capabilities, enhances Roswell’s reputation of being the primary source for producing high-quality, large format and oversized books on a coast-to-coast basis.

We had only vaguely heard of Kluge before that [trade] show but, having got to know them, we find their products and service second to none. Indeed, their OmniFold 3000 is so fast and easy to use it has allowed us to reduce our prices and that is already attracting new clients who hitherto hadn’t considered us for this type of work.

Our reason for buying the Kluge was to bring our die-cutting in house and to be able to have more control over turnaround on embossing and foil stamping. We see short run special print effects as an important niche growth sector over the coming years, allowing brand owners to differentiate themselves and their products. The Kluge EHF will allow us to serve this requirement quickly and efficiently.

The main reason we purchased the Kluge EHG was to enable us to bring die-cutting, foiling and embossing in-house. These are all processes that previously we were outsourcing and, with ever increasing pressures on delivery times, we were finding it was these processes that were causing bottlenecks in production. By taking control, we are able to turnaround jobs even faster and there are now very few jobs that will need to leave the shop floor before going out for delivery. The foiling and embossing on the Kluge EHG was far superior to anything we had seen before. The crisp, deep finish of the embossing particularly impressed us and we can’t wait to present this to our clients. It perfectly complements the other range of finishes we are able to produce in-house and will allow us to push out into more specialist and luxury markets.

Honestly, there is no other name we think of when it comes to foil stamping and embossing. Kluge has built the reputation of being the “Cadillac” of the industry.

Kluges are the right machine to perpetuate our underlying philosophy of always exceeding our customers’ expectations. Since the purchase of our Kluge presses over 29 years ago, an adjustable impression feature, a better oiling system and improved safety features have been introduced. These are the primary factors I considered when purchasing the remanufactured Kluge EHD. The option for the adjustable impression feature alone will make this press more efficient, yielding roughly better than a two-and-a-half-year ROI.

We really like the adjustable impression. The make-ready is short and the flexibility it provides works well. Aldine is also your printing consultant. We will analyze artwork for prospective clients recommending which paper, print and finishing techniques will work best to help the client get a perfect end product. The addition of the Kluge EHD will consolidate Aldine’s objective of excellence and quality of impression.

We were familiar with Kluge and the quality of their presses so when we needed more production capacity, we looked for another Kluge. Kluge provided excellent technical service at installation and they also repaired our older press with impressive skill and expertise. The adjustable impression feature has been a great time saver for make-readies. We utilize our Kluges every day and we look forward to our continuing partnership with Kluge for many years to come.

It was tempting to buy from someone else but we didn’t want to take a chance on buying junk. So we researched and we heard from other people that Kluge did it right. The OmniFold plays a big part in our plan to service the growing folding carton market. Our customers have motivated us to grow in this area by offering crash-lock bottom boxes, tuck bottom boxes, tape application, and sophisticated folding and gluing applications, as well as faster production of pocket folders and mailers. We are very pleased with our OmniFold and we look forward to providing our customers that “one-stop-shop” experience well into the future.

We always want to have the best press and Kluge is the #1 name in the foil stamping, embossing and die-cutting industry. For that reason, the Kluge was always on our want list, then finally it became a need. The EHF is a great machine and it makes life extremely easy. We no longer have the frustration of working with other people’s timelines in sending the work out and our operator is pleased. We are happy to be in partnership with Kluge.

We were looking at getting into the larger format die-cutting and the market was right to make the move now. The EHG has many advantages – the ability to run jobs multiple up is good and the adjustable impression feature makes make-ready easy and it saves time. Being a diecutter, what I like most about Kluge is the registration. Kluge has the best registration on the market. It can hold it perfect. I’d recommend any shop to go with Kluges.

When we went through the process of identifying what equipment to purchase, our primary consideration was quality. We believed that was most important in meeting the demands of our customers. I believe Kluge is one of very few companies who is committed to one of the core values that my company has, “done right the first time.” During my 33 years in the business I’ve seen a lot of “get by” purchases, we didn’t want to be a part of one of those. Working with Kluge has been a first class experience.

We’re a small business and I want to make everything as efficient as possible. I can foil, emboss and die-cut all on the same press. Plus, with the Kluge, I don’t need as many nicks, if any, the registration is perfect, feeding is great and it’s the perfect platen size. Bottom line, I can accept more work and deliver a high quality product to my customers. I’d love to replace two of my cylinder presses with another Kluge.

We keep at least three of our Kluges busy every day, sometimes all five. The 14×22 EHD is ideal for feeding and foil stamping pre-diecut folding cartons. It also allows us to die-cut jobs without nicking so nothing has to be sanded, the product goes direct into the box. The ease of feeding and make-ready make it a good choice for our small quantity, short runs that would be too time consuming on a larger press.

This isn’t our first Kluge, but it is the first one we’ve purchased directly from Kluge. The after sales support has been terrific. We’ve never had it that good.

The EHG is the perfect complement to our other two Kluge platen presses. During a time in the printing industry of having to do more with less, the newest generation of Kluge, the EHG, is the perfect complement to our other two Kluge platen presses. Its sensible footprint coupled with its ability to serve a multitude of functions supporting both our offset and digital formats makes it truly a welcome addition.

Kluge equipment is well engineered, both in design and construction. The latest addition to our Kluge product line is the OmniFold automatic folder-gluer. Presently, we use the OmniFold folder-gluer for converting presentation folders. Due to the modular construction of the machine, the OmniFold folder-gluer is very efficient at converting a wide range of presentation and packaging products. Because of this we have a lot of room for future growth in the converting and packaging portion of our business. Our sights are set on using the OmniFold folder-gluer to expand into new and innovative forms of packaging. We have had a long relationship with Kluge and are excited with the purchase of the new OmniFold folder-gluer, which will give us more versatility in this market.
